Gremlins 1984

Cute little introductory kids horror movie. Seems to be pretty basic and not getting at anything bigger and then the bar riot scene is a commentary on the animilistic nature of man and the Chinese mans warning at the end is about mans abuse of nature??? Also, the love interest talks about how there's more suicide and depression on the holidays and her dad died in the chimney?? Kids movies didnt shy away from adult themes. It feels better that way.
