Film review

Les Misérables (2012)

★★★★★

Hard to even process my thoughts rn sitting in the theater. That was an exhilarating experience.
One of the most beautiful narratives I’ve ever seen (way to go Victor Hugo) and some of the best leading performances. Beautiful cinematography throughout (some questionable Dutch angles though) but wow

I got emotional several times. Anne Hathaway you killed it. My man Hugh is on god levels here.

I really don’t get the hate some people have towards this one. Like yeah the narrative sometimes is wonky- but it’s an adaption of a stage musical of an adaptation of a 1200 page book; the narrative won’t fit into what a normal movie would be. Even if from a film perspective the movie was a 4 star, there are just so many iconic songs and beautifully shot moments this gets that extra bump

I was just in appreciation of what I was witnessing and hearing throughout the runtime. im convinced this is some of the best music ever written. I’m so happy I got to FEEL it in the Dolby theater

I’ll never forget this experience
