One Battle After Another (2025)

I have now also seen One Battle After Another
Couple of thoughts:
Definitely appreciated the filmmaking more than I actually enjoyed the plot and the story. And I think it's a very important to be able to separate between the two. This was clearly a master at work and the movie is so brilliantly crafted. The runtime is not felt at all and it's overall very engaging. Ptas scripts are always amazing and this is no exception. The editing, score, cinematography, acting, directing are all here. It's a movie that I really enjoyed watching in theaters, had a great experience with, but don't think I'll necessarily revisit. Revisit. It doesn't have that same magical quality as other Paul Thomas Anderson movies or other timeless classics that you just want to put on again and again. A product of its time and something that's good in the moment but not necessarily something. That'll be watched and discussed decades from now. Maybe that's just me, I'm not sure.
