Rocky (1976)

So obvious of why and so deserving of being a classic. Inspired countless movies after it. The ultimate underdog story. Really subtle, all encompassing script. Gives enough depth to each character involved to feel like theres a motivation behind each. Forgot how patriotic this is also.
Dad first showed me this when I was around 8 and hadn't seen it since. It was in that same class of movies with Rudy or field of dreams - well made sports movies essential to American culture

Proof that story is above all else
