The Band's Visit (2007)

Quiet. Soft spoken. Gentle longing throughout
At first I really enjoyed the humor and just hanging out with the people and watching the relationships unfold. But as it took on its more serious tone, I really saw its greatness. The movie was well written and pretty well directed
It felt natural and real and I loved the fact it took place over one night
Kind of reminded me of Asian cinema ( Yi Yi, films of koreeda, perfect days) and that’s a really big compliment
Israeli cinema!!!
