A Bigger Splash (2015)

★★★★

Reminded me a lot of Jonathan Glazers Birth in the sense that it feels like there's something bubbling beneath the surface the whole time. That through the camera moves, obscure dialogue, and directorial/acting choices there's way more being left unsaid and unshown than there is on the screen. It invites the viewer to become an active participant and I love that. The movie itself wasn't my favorite but the experience of watching it, trying to decipher it's meaning, was pretty fun. Like a class in film analysis. Lucas obviously a master film director and this was his masterclass.
