Begin Again (2013)

I cant place my finger on it - because all the elements were there- that makes this movie just a good movie and not a great one. Unfortunately I think it just needed a better filmmaker. But…John Carney is doing gods work and should continue making movies about his love for music and the making of it. 
A few scenes made this movie really really special and a movie that I will come back to. The scene in the beginning where the producer sees all the instruments starting to play to accompany the artist, the assembling the band scene/ jam sessions, the date scene where they’re walking around sharing, headphones, and he comments on how music makes the banality of life into Pearls and when Keira Knightley’s character says OK, I’m gonna play one last song and it’s my favorite song for my favorite movie and then she plays play it again Sam from Casablanca. That last one gave me goosebumps. 
Also, Kiera Knightley is 1000% my celebrity crush
